Gayle Aprile, Director
Gayle has been Director here at Torbank for over 35 years, and holds a BA from Pace University. She lives in Carmel with her husband Rich. Four of her five children are Torbank graduates. The Aprile family have two cats- Abbey and Cali, a flock of chickens, and one duck named Greta. Her interests include gardening, home canning, nature, antiques, and raising chickens and ducks, of course!
Two Year Old Classroom
Suzanne Nolan, Head Teacher
Suzanne has over 15 years of experience here at Torbank working with two year olds and has been actively involved in the school for as many years. Suzanne lives in Ossining with her husband Bob and their three children, all of which are Torbank graduates. Suzanne is originally from the Albany area and holds a BS in marketing from Southern University of New Hampshire. Suzanne enjoys teaching here at Torbank as well as volunteering at St Augustine’s and the Ossining Community.
Cheryl Niarhos, Assistant Teacher
Cheryl joined Torbank in 2015 as a teaching assistant in the two year old class. Cheryl's two children attended Torbank and while here, she was actively involved holding Board positions, being class Mom, and supporting the school in any way she was able. She lives in Ossining with her husband and two children She is a busy Mom when not working in the classroom with T ball, girl scouts and swimming.

Three & Four Year Old Classroom
Leanne Hughes, Head Teacher
Leanne began her professional career at Torbank in 2018. She lives in Montrose with her two boys, both alumni of Torbank. Leanne was actively involved at Torbank when her children attended, serving on the Executive Board and assisting in the classroom. She has joined the Torbank staff with a wealth of early childhood experience. She holds a BA in Child Psychology from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD. Her interests include running, hiking, reading, biking and photography.
Mary Haag, Co-Teacher
Mary has been teaching at Torbank since 2006. She lives in Ossining with her three children, the youngest two are Torbank graduates. Mary holds a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Manhattanville College. She enjoys cooking, golf, tennis, and is being a busy sports Mom to her kids.
Meredith Bruckman, Assistant Teacher
Meredith has been teaching at Torbank since 2015. She lives in Croton with her husband and two daughters- both girls being Torbank graduates. Meredith holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Skidmore College. She enjoys being a dog mom to her pooch, Izzy, as well as cheering her daughters on in their swimming, volleyball, and softball games.
